Just how big is this King? Probably not as big here as it will be in Boise.

Trophy GAF halibut

Alaska Kingfisher Lodge fishing report August 4th – 6th, 2017 located on Prince of Wales island, Craig Alaska. We are now in our last month of our guide and lodge service and this past three days was exceptional with all boats landing limits of Kings, Coho and halibut. The fish are all of respectable size with our largest King salmon at 33 pounds, largest Coho 15 pounds, largest halibut 121 pounds! All lodge and charter boats in the Craig area are mostly landing limits of Coho and many are landing limits of King salmon as well. Soon to change on the King salmon as the Commercial troll fleet will have a King salmon opener in the next week, just not sure of the dates. Weather has been exceptional with one day reaching high 70’s, little wind on the ocean so our last day was very nice on the water.┬áThe last day was exceptional for King salmon after limiting on King salmon we landed a total of 18 Kings trying to get our limit of Coho’s which we eventually did.┬áCheck out our Facebook page for more pictures and look forward to seeing all those folks coming here in the next few weeks. Crossing our fingers, saying our prayers that the weather and fishing remain good! Thanks for reading my reports.
