The last couple days have been very nice with sunny skies, light winds and should be out fishing, but need to take advantage of the weather and do my add on the master bath before we get snow. Been a few kings around and the trollers have been doing quite well this winter so far. Plan to get out over the holidays and try to catch some kings weather permitting, if not head across the island to try my luck at steelhead.
Went out fishing in late May with the girls for a bluebird day and great Alaska king fishing. Watch the video of one of the girls fighting a tough king off of Noyes Island. Had a great time and looking forward to it again this next year.
The trollers seem to be doing pretty well this winter on kings and need to get out myself and see if I can’t get a nice winter king next time the weather is calm. Nothing better than winter king in the frying pan!! Hope you enjoy the video of blue water, green island backround and a jumping king that likes to run. May fishing near Craig Alaska with Kingfisher Lodge, beautiful sunny skies and calm weather. Saw a nice herring ball on the surface a half mile from where we were fishing, so running out to check it out found a nice school of kings under the bait which doesn’t always happen. Using the mooching technique with a cut plug herring and dropping just below the surface got us a tripple hookup, and probably would have had more hookups had we had more baits in the water. Check it out by clicking the link below and hope you enjoy it. Sorry about the commentation, kind of weak.
Check out our youtube video Alaska Spring Kings and see what early May fishing can be like. Weather was pretty good the third week of May and fishing was almost the best we had all year for kings, they were nice size and got lots of hookups. Below is a link to the video. Hope you enjoy it.
