Craig, Alaska Fishing Report. 2nd of June, 2026.
June 2, 2026
Time for another fishing report.
We just said good bye to our wonderful friends from Wounded Warriors Outdoors. The trip started out a bit rough with slower fishing and pretty bad weather. Day 2 however was a slam dunk with limits of King Salmon, Halibut and Black Bass. Day 3 started pretty slow but picked up once we found some King Salmon to work on. Things went from zero to sixty when we hit a good school that resulted in a quadruple hook up with all four fish landed. To cap the day off we went hunting for big halibut. As this trip is a donated trip and considered a non charter, there are no size limits to the halibut. Chad was able to hook into a nice meaty 60 pounder whereas Matt and Chris each landed a halibut tipping the scale at a 100 lbs.

I would say King Salmon fishing is fair. There are pockets of fish around Noyes Island but timing is everything. As always the tide has a huge effect on the bite. Which is a bit more noticeable now when we are not seeing the same number of of fish that we will hopefully see here in a few weeks. . The feeling is that we are still in the early part of the King Salmon run, we expect the numbers to start climbing very soon.

Everybody here at Kingfisher Charters & Lodge wants to send a warm thank you to all veterans of this country who sacrificed and fought hard for us to enjoy the freedom that we have. This is our way to give back a little to the ones that gave a lot.
