Fishing

Craig, Alaska Fishing Report. 8th of August, 2026.

The Cohi fishing has stayed pretty darn good here the last few days. Many boats are getting limits in 2-3 hours. The painful side is all the Pink Salmon where boats get swarmed by them and end up having to move in order to get out of them. One thing is for sure, that captains and deckhands are not bored. It also sounds that limits can be had in several locations, spreading the boats out.

We did put a little time for King Salmon over the trip. In total 10 king salmon were caught between the 3 boats showing that the run is dying down. The main focus of the season from here on out will Cohos. Bottom fishing is still very good. As the pictures shows with good keeper halibut, GAF halibut, Yelloweye Rockfish and Black bass.
