Fishing

Craig Alaska charter fishing report for Kingfisher Lodge.

Sportfishing report for Kingfisher Lodge, Prince of Wales island for June 21st, 2021 was good weather overall with sunny skies the first day and next two days overcast with a little lumpier seas. King salmon fishing or catching was pretty good with the boats limiting on Kings by early to late morning each day. Both groups had GAF so all of those tags were filled by the second day. This morning two of the boats limited on King salmon very early in the morning and and the third boat had to work a little harder to get the limits of salmon and halibut. Photo’s below show what a great halibut and salmon day it was with many of the halibut in the 49″ size range.

ADF&G has a revised King salmon limit for area 2C southeast Alaska see below.

Revised King salmon limits as of June 21st, 2021

  • Nonresident
    • The nonresident bag and possession limit is one king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length;
    • From January 1 through June 30, a nonresident’s total harvest limit is three king salmon 28 inches or greater in length;

From July 1 through July 7, a nonresident’s total harvest limit is two king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length

Does it get better than this! Awesome day fishing and CATCHING!
