Fishing Report for Prince of Wales Island. 3rd of July.
July 3, 2026
And we are back. Another three days of fishing have gone by. We are now going to take a well deserved break over 4th of July and be back fishing on the 7th of July.

The results of the last go around were a bit mixed. The King Salmon fishing continues to very trying. We are also hearing from the commercial fleet who had their opener on the 1at of July that fishing is pretty tough.

All in all, all three boats did fine by almost limiting out on King Salmon, GAF halibut and “keeper” halibut. The King Salmon limits have dropped to 2 King Salmon per year which is not all that bad because it frees up time to go for other species. Yelloweye Rockfish opened up to be retained on July 1st. We are very happy about as they are a delicious eating fish that make great table fair.
