Fishing

Kingfisher Lodge fishing report. 16th of August, 2025

And we are back for another update on the fishing in Craig, Alaska.

To begin with, we are still fairly blessed with OK weather. We are not seeing much sun, but we are not seeing heavy winds and big seas. Let’s hope it continues that way.

Salmon fishing is still good. Both for Kings and Silvers. Limits of silvers are being caught daily by the boats. Even though we are not seeing those lightning fast limits that can happens some times when fishing for silvers, I would say it is still good. Most boats are getting their limit in 2-3 hours.

All recent groups have limited on King Salmon which gives a nice little addition in the freezer. The fishing is not quick and easy, but with a little patience all boats have limited as of late.

Thanks to the good water conditions, the fishing for Yelloweye and Lingcod is very good. Also halibut fishing stays really good both for keepers and also GAF Halibut. The biggest one caught with our last crew was 142 lbs.
