Fishing

Craig Alaska fishing report May 30th-June 2nd.

Craig Alaska Charter fishing report for Kingfisher Lodge as of June 2nd. King salmon fishing has been better than average and actually very good up to this time. King salmon have been being caught all up and down the outside 3 islands near our community of Craig. Noyes, Baker and Sumez islands have been producing large numbers of Kings. Although not all lodges are operating yet the few that are have no problem producing limits. Weather has been chilly and last few days a low produced 2 days of gale force winds but we still were able to fish and do well. Bottom fishing has been picking up and should continue as summer progresses. Attached are a few examples of fish catches. A large limit size ling ate a paddle size halibut and so met his demise!
