Craig Alaska sport fishing report for Kingfisher Lodge July 23rd, 2020.
July 23, 2020
Sport fishing in Craig Alaska remains strong during the month of July as of this writing July 23rd. Coho fishing has picked up and King salmon has slowed a bit as we have been targeting limits of Coho or Silver salmon. Both boats landed king salmon the past three days with Captain Backstrome landing a 48.7 pound King salmon along with a 35, and 30. Let the pictures tell the story as happy faces show the enthusiasm that trophy King salmon produce.
Captain Braden Harding produced two great trophy butts for these happy folks who are no strangers to big fish. Captain Harding continues to produce great catches for his anglers.
Kings and Coho’s are the order of the day with the Klawock river hatchery run by Jeff Lundberg continues to produce these great runs of silver salmon. The 2020 returns seem to be gaining momentum and we are hopeful it will remain strong. Many thanks to Jeff, his team and Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (SSRAA).
